استفاده از کلمات و عبارات ربطی موجب می شود تا خواننده و یا شنونده بهتر و راحت تر منظور نویسنده و یا گوینده را متوجه شود. اینگونه کلمات و عبارات ارتباط بین ایده ها را شفاف می کند. به عبارت ساده تر اینگونه کلمات و عبارات مانند علامت های جاده ای در راه ها و مسیرها هستند و برای رسیدن راحت به مقصد، شنونده و یا خواننده را راهنمایی می کنند. استفاده از این ساختارهای کوتاه موجب می شود که بیان شما حرفه ای تر به نظر برسد.
